Now...

So, now, we are 4 1/2 months into this weight loss journey. I am so grateful to not be in pain all the time. I am happier and can enjoy life. I have lost 46 pounds, hubby has lost 58 pounds and we are well on our way...but, it has been really hard. I realized that we were eating WAY to much food before. I used to think nothing of the amount that we would eat, but, now, I will open a Nutrisystem package and look at it and think "where's the rest of it?" But, you know what...it works! I am usually not hungry (find myself bored and wanting to eat, but usually not actually, real live hungry). We have more energy, I have started exercising, mostly just walking, but its a start. I have so much that I want to do with the rest of my life and now I can start doing it.

So, a little more about me... I grew up in Florida, where I never went to the beach and when I did, it would turn the color of a lobster. I am an only child of a single mom (and I love it that way!) We moved to Nevada when I was 28 years old, after going through 2 hurricanes in 3 weeks (with 1 that missed us, barely, before; and 1 that missed us, barely, after). I said "enough" and got the hell out of there...Moved to Northern Nevada first, gave it 8 years and just could not handle the winters (although, now that I am in Las Vegas I do kinda miss them).

Met my hubby in 2007, on MySpace (remember that, is it still around???). Got married a year later, got two dogs and settled in. Got screwed in the housing fiasco and then decided to move to Las Vegas, where there was more stuff to do than the little city where we lived in Northern Nevada. So, we moved, and we still don't really do anything! But we are going to start now that we are getting healthy...

This will be the place were I can share all those adventures, along with my weight loss and fitness journey. And, anything else that comes up along the way. Stick around and join me!
