What I Ate Today -


  • Breakfast - Dannon Caramel Fudge Pretzel Light and Fit Greek Yogurt and Nutrisystem Cranberry Oatmeal Bites with coffee
  • AM Snack - oranges and mixed nuts
  • Lunch - Jimmy Johns #12 (Beach Club - Turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, avocado and onions) - yeah, it was 800 calories...
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Thick Crust Pizza with olives (if it looks familiar its because its the same thing I had yesterday, hubby is working tonight so I had to fend for myself)
Comments - So I started out really good, had Nutrisystem for breakfast, then my snack which was a little higher in calories, but I thought I would be shopping this afternoon so didn't know if I would be having an afternoon snack. We had a training at work and then I took the afternoon off. At the end of training, a couple of my coworkers were talking about where they were going for lunch, one mentioned Jimmy John's...oh, it was over at that point. Then it was all I could think about. So hubby asked what I wanted for lunch, and instead of saying a Grilled Chicken Sandwich (Nutrisystem, which was on my plan) I said Jimmy Johns...then when we got there, I ordered the sandwich that has cheese, mayo AND avocado spread...WTF!! Oh, well, it was good, I ate it...move on. Tomorrow will also be a cheat day. A PLANNED CHEAT DAY. SO... Yeah...

How many days can I do 100% Nutrisystem?

I really need to lose some serious weight... I am so sick of seeing the same numbers that I saw 6 months ago...

So I am doing another Blog Challenge!

For the month of May, I am going to see how many days I can do 100% Nutrisystem. I am hoping to go the whole month. Hubby and I will be seeing what Nutrisystem can really do if we are serious and put our minds (back) to it. Haven't really been 100% since we started again. So we made this deal. Starting Sunday, May 1st, we will be eating 100% Nutrisystem program. No extras, no snacking, no Sushi Cheat days...

One of the things that we are looking at is if we actually want to continue with Nutrisystem or if we want to do it on our own and start a Clean Eating Lifestyle. You know, nothing processed and as close to natural as possible. I think that is the way we are leaning at this time. But we will see...

We are also going back to the gym, I felt so much better when we were going, even though I bitched about it! So, this is the mission, and I choose to accept it!

  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Hamburger with laughing cow cheese and a salad with Bolthouse Ranch dressing
  • PM Snack - Roast Beef and Triscuits
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Meatballs Marinara with zucchini noodles and "garlic bread"
  • Anything Else - Chicago Mix Popcorn and a sliced tomato
Comments - So, I had to go to the Radiation Oncologist today for a follow up. I get to have a CT with contrast (yippee!!) I always seem to make doctors' appointments in the middle of the afternoon so I can't eat snack before, my actual snack time is during and I am driving after. So, needless to say, I was STARVING when I got home...but it was only like 4pm and hubby wasn't ready to eat yet. So I had my afternoon snack...then I had some Chicago Mix popcorn (remember, cheese and caramel corn)... then I had a tomato. Finally I was okay to wait for dinner...No evening snack for me, but I was still under my calorie count for the day!

  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza and BIG salad

Comments -Had a bit of an animal emergency this morning...ended up in the vets office at 7am... One of my dogs (the red one) had an incident this morning, he got up and started to walk towards me, but his leg gave out... he could hardly walk and kept falling down. He calmed down a bit but still having issues, went to the vet and they could not really find anything wrong, just did a physical exam, no bloodwork or Xrays yet. Vet said that it probably was not something torn or broken, because there was no swelling and by the time we were seen, he could put full weight on it without issue. May have been a seizure (OMG, i hope not) or possibly just muscle fell asleep... but it was so scary!! Went to work late since I wanted to make sure he was okay... I hope that NEVER happens again.

Comments - I missed my afternoon snack as I had an appointment and left my office without my Atkins shake that I was supposed to have. I was starving by the time I got home. Then we had to go to the store to get stuff for salads... Didn't eat anything I shouldn't have though!!!

  • Lunch - Nutrisystem White Cheddar Mac And Cheese with laughing cow cheese and veggies

  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Italian Flatbread Pizza with olives and veggies
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Salt & Vinegar snack rounds  
Comments - I am so disappointed and disgusted with myself, when I got on the scale this morning, I wanted to cry... My lowest weight in November 2015 was 209, this morning I was 235, I have gained back 25 pounds. I know, I know, at least I am not back at 280 (NS start) or 305 (when I got married, highest weight), but it is so hard to know that I possibly could be at goal right now and I have so far to go. Also, I felt like crap all day, not sure if it is the smoothie (I will not have it again) or if it is the lack of calories from starting back on Nutrisystem... also, I started to take pictures of my food, but after not feeling well, I couldn't be bothered, at least I ate on track!

I'm BAAAACCCCKKKKK!!!

So, I have been out of touch… for a while… a long while.

But I am back, from outer space… No, that’s not right.

I am back from Florida. Last week I went to Florida because my cousin was getting married. For WEEKS before that, I was trying to eat right, I really was… but it just was not happening. Nutrisystem for breakfast and lunch, but then pizza, hamburger and fried chicken for dinner…

No More!!!

Starting Monday, 4/18/2016, hubby and I have made a pact. We will be eating right, joining the gym again and this time, we plan to stick to it! We Have To!

Okay, enough excuses and promises… lets talk about Florida.

I grew up in South Florida, and moved to Nevada about 12 years ago after going through 3 hurricanes in a month. We went back a couple of months after moving for my cousin’s daughter’s birthday. My hubby and I went back in 2010 for my best friend’s father’s memorial. (Hubby got pneumonia while there) So now, 6 years later, I went back to Florida for my cousin’s wedding.

It was beautiful. The weather was perfect, cool and breezy, not too hot. There were a few raindrops to be seen, but not a lot. We stayed at a cute little hotel on the water, Jupiter Waterfront Inn, for a couple of nights.

The wedding was at a beautiful venue, Old Fish House in Jupiter, Florida. The wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was perfect and we were visited by two bright orange butterflies in the middle of the vows (the spirits of my grandparents, I believe).

Visited all my old haunts, the condo I grew up in, my aunt and uncle’s house from later. We saw my grandparents’ mobile home and my best friend’s house (she no longer lives in Florida, moved away a couple of years ago). My high school has changed a lot. My favorite restaurant, Russo's Sub Shop, has not. Still so good.

All in all, it was a great trip… did I mention I don’t fly well…


I haven't been on an airplane in 6 years, I do not like it, I would rather drive. When I visit my mom, I drive 8 hours instead of flying for 1 hour... I know, I know...Stupid, right?!? I actually made my mom come get me for this trip, she came to Vegas a day early so that we could fly together to Florida. She is the flying expert with all the traveling and visiting she does. Every time the plane did any kind of, well, anything, I looked ay my mom so she could tell me it was okay. I know, I'm a baby...

5 days in Florida, spent some time with my family, my cousins all have children who are growing way too fast. I miss them and really need to make more of an effort to keep in touch. They are really the only family I have as I am an only child and don't really have any other connection. 

So, here I am, home again and really need to get back to me and my health. We are going back to Nutrisystem, hardcore, starting Monday. I will keep you updated and will start the food posts again, it seemed to help me and gave others some ideas about what to do with the food.
