Downsizing Me Log - 5/28/2016 (and then some)

Eating On Track Today - Uh, no...

Comments - So I have been doing okay the last few days, have been trying to take pictures but the time got away... Then, hubby's sister came to visit for the weekend and it got even further away. I won't be posting, I am trying to be good, but the margaritas last night were amazing... although I went a little (maybe alot) overboard. Back at it next week.



44 DAYS

44 days…give or take…

This is how much Nutrisystem food we have left.

We had 6 gift cards for Nutrisystem… we returned them to Costco.

I know, it was probably a silly thing to do. But I want to eat real food. I want to get away from the chemicals and the preservatives and everything that goes with that type of DIET. I want to change the way I eat. I want to eat fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grains and healthy meat and fish.

I have been doing a lot of research on the best “diet” and it made me realize, I don’t want to diet anymore. I want to EAT HEALTHY. I want to be able to have ALL types of food. Because I have realized that once I try to restrict what I eat, that is all I want. Remembering the failed KETO experiment where ALL I WANTED WAS CARBS… which, when I decided to endulge, I stuffed myself with sushi…

So, after the 44 days of Nutrisystem, we will be eating healthy. Healthy foods, healthy portions and probably a little of that other healthy stuff, EXERCISE. We joined the gym a month ago, WE HAVE NOT BEEN ONCE!!! Granted I have been having some medical stuff going on, but that is crazy.

So, I know that the eating thing has been quite a seesaw recently, "let's do Nutrisystem… no Keto… no binge eat and stuff myself…" well it stops in 44 days (give or take)…

I am searching the internet for blogs on healthy and clean eating. I have found a bunch and the food looks (mostly) so good. I can’t wait to get back to eating real food and hopefully, the reduction in chemicals and FAKE stuff will help my health and body and mind.

Im going to start doing the recipe roundups and those types of posts again. I was so excited when we were going to start Keto. I am excited again. I was never really excited about the second attempt at Nutirsytem, which, I think is why it just didn’t work…

  • AM Snack - Apple and 2 cheesesticks
  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Meatball Parmesan Melt with "cheesy spaghetti squash" (spaghetti squash mixed with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge)
  • PM Snack - 3 Oreo Cinnamon Bun Cookies and a Nut Goodie (WTF!!!!!)
  • Dinner - Jimmy John's Roast Beef Sandwich and a couple chips  
Eating On Track Today - Yeah, no!!!

Comments - 45 days - that is how much Nutrisystem food we have left. We will not be ordering again, expense and limited choices are making it really hard. We will be eating real food, healthy food. We need to do this on our own. Nutrisystem made it easy last year when we started but it is just getting old. The lack of choices and the fact that the food is so chemically processed is turning me off... JUST EAT REAL FOOD (in 45 days)... I will keep posting it will just be different foods... stick around!

Comments - We had a meeting today and there were donut holes, I had one, which is saying something because normally I would have 5 (or more...) Didn't drink alot of water today, had a pelvic ultrasound to check on the status of the cyst on my ovary, hope to hear from the doctor soon... 1 down 2 more tests to go... a CT to check if any cancer has come back and another "lady test"... won't get into that one...

  • Breakfast - Nutrisystem Peanut Butter Breakfast Bar and Strawberry Cheesecake greek yogurt
  • AM Snack - Wrap with laughing cow cheese wedge and ham
  • Lunch - Nutrisystem White Cheddar Mac and Cheese with Hebrew National 99% fat free hot dogs and broccoli/tomatoes, yum!!!
  • Dinner - we went out, I had a French Dip sandwich and fries with a salad, then I cam home and had a cookie... it was a rough afternoon and evening 
Eating on Track Today - No

Comments - I am having some more issues, went to Urgent Care yesterday and have a pinched nerve (they think) which is causing tingling and numbness in my leg. Then this afternoon while sitting at work, I had a sharp pain in my side. I have a cyst on my one remaining ovary and all I could think about was that it was something to do with that. Called the doctor's office, but haven't heard back from them. i am scheduled for an ultrasound to check out the cyst but it is not until the beginning of June. I feel so helpless, because I know something is off but it takes six weeks to see anybody about it...so frustrated.

Weigh In - well, i didn't get on the scale at home, but the doctor's scale this afternoon said 227, that was fully dressed and about 12.30p

What I Ate Today - Well, it was a bad food day, I had some NS for breakfast and lunch and dinner, but then we ate candy, lots and lots of candy... new day tomorrow

Eating on Track Today - uh, No

Comments - Ended up at Urgent Care today. Been having a very strange sensation on and off in my left leg for a couple weeks (actually more). tingling and numbness, not really pain but just weird. Last night, I had a full blown panic attack and almost went to the ER. calmed down enough to lay down and sleep but today, figured I better figure it out. I was so scared that I had a blood clot. I had a coworker (younger than me) who recently suddenly passed away from a blood clot so I was freaking out. Doctor at urgent care told me it sounds like a pinched nerve. Assured me that the symptoms do not match a blood clot. No swelling, pain, redness or heat in my leg. I feel so much better. Hoping it will get better now that we know what it is. Other health stuff going on, don't need to add a blood clot to it!

  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Hamburger with tomatoes and cucumbers and "cheesy broccoli"
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes with brussels sprouts and peas and cottage cheese
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie

Comments - Didn't have a PM snack today as I was at an appointment, then came home to hubby washing his car so got stuck (not really...) washing MY car. By the time we had dinner I was starving. Oh, and about this "cheesy broccoli", hubby suggested that I take a laughing cow cheese wedge and throw it in my mini crock pot with frozen veggies because I was complaining that I was sick of my normal veggies... I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN AGAIN, it was the best thing ever... Thanks Hubby!!!

  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast with rice, cabbage and onions and cottage cheese

Comments - We ate at the dining room table because we got new living room furniture. We are going to be eating there for a while.

The "Fingerprint" collection from RC Willey. We got everything but the small ottoman. Couch, large ottoman and two chairs!! I fell in love with it at first sight!

The top picture is the accent pillow that goes on the couch, and the second picture is the "fingerprint" that is all over the ottoman. These are the reasons that I fell in love!

Downsizing Me Log - 5/8/2016 (Mommy's Day)

Comments - Its Mother's Day.

I miss my mommy. She is 8 hours away (by car) and I sent her an gift card for Southwest so that she can come back to Las Vegas and visit. I am still thinking about my food and body stuff and having an off day. Went to breakfast this morning (normal breakfasty stuff). Then had some chips and olives and tomatoes. Just had some butter toast (it sucked, hard as a rock and VERY disappointing). Not sure what I will have for dinner.

Back on Nutrisystem tomorrow. Gonna try the higher calorie count plan that I lost so well on last year. 1500 calorie plan which is actually a range of 1500 to 1799 calories. More food, a little more options with powerfuels (PF - protein) and smartcarbs (SC - carbohydrates). (4 powerfuels a day and 3 smartcarbs as opposed to 3 and 2). My day will look something like this, sometimes with the PFs and SCs moved around:

  • Breakfast - Nutrisystem Entree and PF
  • AM snack - PF and SC
  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Entree
  • PM snack - PF and SC
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Entree and PF and SC
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Dessert

Well, we'll see how it goes... Either way, we have so much Nutrisystem food that I have to give it a couple more months... I want to be healthy, not skinny, not even slim or thin, just healthy...

Also, I and my household are going through some stuff. More tests for me, have to watch my doggies since the legs don't work issue (no other issues, however, one of my dogs has a belly full of little rocks, seems like a silly thing to eat to me, but, hey... DOG). Just having to take it day by day, actually hour by hour at this point.

TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY! LET US SEE WHAT IT BRINGS...
