Moving On... For Now



So I did a week of low carb, then I had a bagel. My hubby never got on the low carb train this time so it was hard. So now we are going to do something different, just portion control and tracking... at least for now.

I did lose some weight since the holidays, I went to the doctor last week and was pleasantly surprised that I weighted less than before the holidays... actually to the point that the nurse asked me what my secret was! 😀

So, it was a crazy week, stress at work, stress at home and crazy back issues, different day/different issue. So now I need to focus on what I am doing. I will be trying to take pictures of what I am eating, not sure that I will do the daily logs but at least try to post most days. I would like to go back to the overnight oats for breakfast and salad a couple of times a week (but not too much as salad does not get along with my digestion.

I also bought a yoga mat and bricks and would like to start doing that, I have Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix so hoping there are some good yoga videos out there, oh, YouTube on my TV is amazing!

I'm also gonna look back at some of the old posts, tweak a few, do some new ones and see where this takes me. Stick around, won't you?

Well, that didn't go well... we had no food in the house (great planning, I know). So, I did okay at work, mostly... but then...

Here I Am... AGAIN!



So here we are again... but this time, it is for life... MY LIFE to be exact.

I turned 41 a couple of months ago, you know when people say your body changes after 40... they are not kidding! I have pains in places I never knew I had. I can't breathe, of course I have gained back all the weight I lost a couple years ago... I have to do this or I feel that I am not going to make it.

So I decided to come back here, do the Weight Loss Journey and the Downsizing Me Log again... It can't hurt and maybe I can inspire some of you along the weigh... See what I did there!

Back Again, Again!!!

Wow…

Its been a long time…

Like 6 months…

The Healthy Before 40 didn’t work out to well…

So, let’s try getting HEALTHY @ 40!!!!

I will be turning 40 years old tomorrow. I need to get healthier.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I have been through a lot... kidney stones, cancer, surgeries... but now I have been having heart issues. It is a wake up call that NEEDS to be listened to.

So, I need to get healthy. Its a matter of life and death.

Stick around and help me, encourage me and kick my ass when I need it.

OMG



255.9

Oh. My. God! What the hell have I done. 

I got on the scale this morning because I am starting back on track today. It said 255.9 (which was better than a split second before when it said 257). I weighed 209 in November 2015. I have gained back almost 50 pounds in a year and a half. I want to throw up. 

But, we start again… I have to get healthier. I hurt all over. My back kills me all the time. I have no energy and don’t want to DO anything. I have stomach issues. I am done with this. We prepped meals this weekend and I will be counting calories and exercising (at least trying). 

If you could give me all the support you can spare I would appreciate it.

Downsizing Me Log - 8/16/2016


Date - 8/16/2016

Water Intake - 64oz (I need to get back on track with this)

What I Ate Today -

  • First Meal - Brats with mixed veggies and a little mayo
  • Snack - mixed nuts
  • Second Meal - Salad with avocado and Blue Cheese dressing
  • Snack - Pistachios
  • Third Meal - Pork and mixed veggies with some sour cream along with Nut Butter Loaf and butter
  • Dessert - One square of dark chocolate and peanut butter (forgot to take a picture, tried to justify eating it again...)
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - Headache all day, wondering if it is after the burrito this weekend, or it could be that it is almost that time...

Blood Sugar Readings - 126 (another sad face)

What I Ate Today -


  • First Meal - Meatloaf, mixed veggies, Nut Butter Loaf with butter and some beef bone broth
  • Snack - mixed nuts
  • Snack - pistachios
  • Second Meal - Salmon, mixed veggies with a laughing cow cheese wedge and some avocado
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - Carb meal yesterday, I was craving a burrito so we had it for lunch. I have been eating Keto for several weeks but not lost any weight (I lose then gain then lose then gain, etc). I am wondering if it is because I have been eating alot of things with sugar alcohols. So I have decided to try again, this time without all that sweet stuff... I still use Stevia in my coffee but no more Maltitol and that crap...

I know I have been lax lately, it has been really hard since losing my puppy, but I have been eating Keto, just not documenting...Gonna start doing that more.

We are planning to start a YouTube channel (well the channel exists, but there is nothing on it)... Will let you know...

The End...and The Beginning

The End...

Okay, this is the end...

The end of NOT doing it. The end of giving up. The end of feeling like crap.

The Beginning...

Okay, on August 1st, I will be getting back to the blog. I will be doing the Downsizing Me Log. I will be doing my Goals. I have been away too long.


We were doing so good, Nutrisystem was so good, Hubby lost about 90 pounds and I lost about 75 pounds. And then, the unthinkable, we stopped... At Thanksgiving... WHAT THE HELL WERE WE THINKING!!!

It didn't all come back, I gained back about 25 pounds, Hubby about 35 pounds. But it is so disappointing. We could be so much closer to where we want to be. But, we stopped.

Well, now it starts, again... and this time, we DON'T stop.

We have been doing Keto again for the last week. I have lost about 5 pounds and Hubby lost about 8 pounds. We will be taking more photos, doing some more recipes round-ups (and our own recipes too). We are thinking about actually using the YouTube page that I set up and doing some videos to keep ourselves accountable. What do you think, would that be something that you, fabulous readers, would be interested in? Seeing us do some videos about what we eat, how we live... Let me know in the comments.

  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Hamburger with cheesy spaghetti squash
  • PM Snack - grapes
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Turkey and stuffing with big salad and bread with butter
  • Late Snack - Pearson's Nut Goodie (yeah, not Nutrisystem)

What I Ate Today -
  • Breakfast - Nutrisystem Canadian Bacon breakfast sandwich with laughing cow cheese wedge and coffee with greek yogurt
  • AM Snack - cottage cheese with cantaloupe
  • Lunch - Subway chopped salad with ham and a little ranch dressing (no cheese or bacon or avocado!!!) with the Nutrisystem Fudge Graham Bar
  • PM Snack - Grapes and cheesesticks
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Salisbury Steak with Mac and Cheese and zucchini and cottage cheese 
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Apple Pecan Bites 
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - Had a training this afternoon. Also, forgot to take pictures all day... oops.

Water Intake - 60oz about

Blood Sugar Readings - didn't take it fasting but before lunch it was about 80, which is kinda low for me. That is why you see an extra entry below, I was shaky and needed a boost of sugar.

What I Ate Today -


  • Breakfast - Nutrisystem Canadian Bacon breakfast sandwich with Laughing Cow cheese wedge and yogurt with coffee
  • AM Snack - Atkins Dark Chocolate Royale drink mixed with unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Chicken Fajita Melt with cheesy spaghetti squash and carrots
  • PM Snack - orange and 2 cheesesticks
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza with cottage cheese and a HUGE salad with lettuce, peppers, cucumber, pepperocinis and avocado with Bolthouse Ranch dressing
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Red Velvet Whoopie Pie
  • Anything Else - I had a blood sugar drop today, so I had to eat a "Frozen Juice" pop from the freezer at work...
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comment - Well, hubby has decided that we are going to eat the rest of the Nutrisystem food, so you will see more of these, at least until we decide (again) to not eat it...

  • Lunch - Nutrisystem Pepperoni Pizza Melt with cheesy spaghetti squash and carrots
  • PM Snack - Grapes a 2 cheesesticks
  • Dinner - Nutrisystem Turkey Medallions and Mashed Potatoes with cottage cheese and tomatoes and avocado
  • Late Snack - Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake
