December Blog Challenges - SNOW!!! Yes or No!!!
SNOW... Yes or No
Anybody who knows me knows that I currently live in Las Vegas because I lived in Northern Nevada for 8 years and had enough of the snow. I couldn't stand living in it anymore. Even now, when I think about moving back there, my knuckles turn white and a family of butterflies invade my tummy. But, if I don't have to live in it... I love it...
What do I mean by that. If I don't have to actually function (go to work, drive, etc). It is amazing. I love to snuggle on the couch in the middle of a snow storm with the fireplace burning and a cup of coffee and just watch the snow. It gets so quiet and peaceful.
However, driving or having to function, nope, no way...
Maybe later, when I don't actually have to leave my house 😉
Do you enjoy the snow?

PLANNER ADDICT
Hi, My name is Annie and I am a Planner addict…
This is something new. I have wanted an Erin Condren Life Planner for a couple of years, but they were always to expensive (I can not spend $65 dollars on a PLANNER, for goodness sake…). BUT… for black Friday, when everything was 30% off… sure, I can do that…
So I built my planner and added some extras, then I started looking at Instagram. I have become addicted to this hobby (lifestyle). I started a new Instagram Account JUST FOR PLANNER STUFF. I followed like 100 planner pages on Instagram in 2 days… I have 24 items in my Etsy cart. I want to go to the store and look at all the stickers…
I will be adding some planner topics to the blog. I will be showing off my spreads and also showing some other planners that I am following…
Follow along and indulge in my addiction with me, won’t you!

I decided to start a series of posts about my favorite Low Carb websites or blogs. I remember several years ago, when I was first diagnosed with diabetes and PCOS, I looked for websites with low carb recipes. I found this one. It looked totally different but the food looked so good. The first two recipes I made were the Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers and the Beef Stroganoff Burgers. They were so good. I have tried several of these recipes and am going to try others soon. Please check out this site if you are interested in Low Carb amazing dishes!!!

I'm BAAAACCCCKKKKK!!!
So, I have been out of touch… for a while… a long while.
But I am back, from outer space… No, that’s not right.
I am back from Florida. Last week I went to Florida because my cousin was getting married. For WEEKS before that, I was trying to eat right, I really was… but it just was not happening. Nutrisystem for breakfast and lunch, but then pizza, hamburger and fried chicken for dinner…
No More!!!
Starting Monday, 4/18/2016, hubby and I have made a pact. We will be eating right, joining the gym again and this time, we plan to stick to it! We Have To!
Okay, enough excuses and promises… lets talk about Florida.
I grew up in South Florida, and moved to Nevada about 12 years ago after going through 3 hurricanes in a month. We went back a couple of months after moving for my cousin’s daughter’s birthday. My hubby and I went back in 2010 for my best friend’s father’s memorial. (Hubby got pneumonia while there) So now, 6 years later, I went back to Florida for my cousin’s wedding.
It was beautiful. The weather was perfect, cool and breezy, not too hot. There were a few raindrops to be seen, but not a lot. We stayed at a cute little hotel on the water, Jupiter Waterfront Inn, for a couple of nights.
Visited all my old haunts, the condo I grew up in, my aunt and uncle’s house from later. We saw my grandparents’ mobile home and my best friend’s house (she no longer lives in Florida, moved away a couple of years ago). My high school has changed a lot. My favorite restaurant, Russo's Sub Shop, has not. Still so good.
All in all, it was a great trip… did I mention I don’t fly well…
I haven't been on an airplane in 6 years, I do not like it, I would rather drive. When I visit my mom, I drive 8 hours instead of flying for 1 hour... I know, I know...Stupid, right?!? I actually made my mom come get me for this trip, she came to Vegas a day early so that we could fly together to Florida. She is the flying expert with all the traveling and visiting she does. Every time the plane did any kind of, well, anything, I looked ay my mom so she could tell me it was okay. I know, I'm a baby...
5 days in Florida, spent some time with my family, my cousins all have children who are growing way too fast. I miss them and really need to make more of an effort to keep in touch. They are really the only family I have as I am an only child and don't really have any other connection.
So, here I am, home again and really need to get back to me and my health. We are going back to Nutrisystem, hardcore, starting Monday. I will keep you updated and will start the food posts again, it seemed to help me and gave others some ideas about what to do with the food.
Stick around for a while to see our transformation with Nutrisystem...

The wedding was at a beautiful venue, Old Fish House in Jupiter, Florida. The wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was perfect and we were visited by two bright orange butterflies in the middle of the vows (the spirits of my grandparents, I believe).

A to Z : Girls Names
I want to fill in the days with something other than just the daily weight loss log. So I decided to go back to other types of posts also. I loved the A to Z posts so I figured I would start there.
I love names, the creativity that comes in giving someone their names. I really think that your name forms part of who you are. Have you ever looked at someone and thought that their name really fits them. Or thought “what would that person be like with a different name?” Would another name fit you? Have you ever thought what your name would be if you could have chosen a name for yourself… There are some cultures that allow for someone to choose their own name, what would you choose?
Having said that there are those names that annoy the H%#* out of me. Especially when it is a common name but with such a really weird spelling that you have to stare at the name to see what it really says. That will be another blog post in the future J So here is a list of my favorite girl names (Boys names coming soon).
Adriana (Adrienne), Alexandria, Amy, Abigail, Alice, Avery
Brianna, Bridget, Brooke

Monday - Listless No More - Cars
Today's list is about the cars I have owned and a few that I want!
- My first car was a Nissan 200SX - my mom bought her for me at Christmas when I was 16. One of my presents was a small box with a set of keys in it, I had no idea what it was all about until I went outside. I didn't even see the car at first because I was so excited (also the fact that it was up on the side of the house on the grass, where no car should have ever been probably helped). It belonged to a friend of hers and I loved it so much.

A to Z of travel
Like Thursday's post, I am loving the A to Z lists. Another of the topics listed was the A to Z of travel and it is from MYATOZCHALLENGE.COM. I thought it was a fun post idea, so here we go!
Age you started traveling: I don't really remember when I started traveling, I know that when I was little we used to travel to see family. I did not really start traveling for pleasure until recently
Best beer you’ve had and where: I am not a big beer drinker so I don't really know what the best would be.
Cuisine (favorite): I love Italian food, Mexican food and Japanese food, especially sushi! I could probably survive for a really long time if I only had any of these types of cuisine.
Destinations–favorite/least favorite, and why?: I think my favorite destination would have been DisneyLand/Napa Valley. I traveled there with my hubby and we had so much fun just being with each other. I think my least favorite destination was New Orleans. I think that this is a destination that is so overrated. We were there during the French Quarter festival and it smelled of vomit and pee!

A to Z of food
I found a very cool site with some ideas for blog posts. So here is the A to Z of food from MYATOZCHALLENGE.COM Check it out!!
Adventurous when it comes to trying unusual food? - Not really, I usually only have certain things, although, I am getting better. I would not eat sushi for years and now I am obsessed with it. I have even tries the "eww" stuff from the past like eel!
Breakfast – what does your typical breakfast consist of? - Since I am on Nutrisystem, my breakfast is usually either a sausage and egg sandwich with some cheese or a pastry item (muffin, biscotti bites, etc) and either milk or yogurt.
Comfort food – what do you reach for when you need cheering up? - Carbs!! Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, bread, spaghetti.
Describe a dessert to die for - I love chocolate cake, a nice, rich, moist cake with lots of frosting!

Monday - Listless No More - Favorite Exercises
So I have decided that I am going to do a new series on Mondays. It will help me to post consistently and it will be fun. I am going to do posts of Lists! Whether it be Top 5 (or 10), Favorites/Least Favorites or other types of lists, that is what I will focus on for Mondays at Plus Size to Downsized. So, let’s get started!
My Favorite Exercises
1. Walking outside – I can’t stand the treadmill, but I live in Las Vegas so, unless I want to get up at 3am, I have to use the treadmill. My local gym has an indoor walking track so I may check that out.
Since I started this blog to be a weight loss journal, let’s start with a fitting topic:

Blog Challenge - Day 27
Favorite Color...
My favorite color fluctuates at times. Between green and purple. Sometimes purple is my favorite. Sometimes green... I am not sure which one I like better.
My favorite color fluctuates at times. Between green and purple. Sometimes purple is my favorite. Sometimes green... I am not sure which one I like better.
But then, at times, I like blue. And sometimes, I like red or pink.
I don't necessarily have a FAVORITE color. I have colors that I like better than others. I have colors that I prefer. But sometimes, I really like green...or purple...
I'm kinda indecisive that way!
Tomorrow is the last day of the Blog Challenge, it has been amazing and I love forcing myself to write for you guys to read. I hope I can keep it up!
My last challenge post will discuss what I would do if I won the lottery, stay tuned!

Blog Challenge - Day 26
Favorite Season or Holiday...
This one is easy!
My favorite season is FALL. When it is getting cooler after the heat of summer. When people start focusing more on family and home. Oh, did I mention, my birthday is in the fall!!! Which also leads to my favorite holiday (also in the fall), HALLOWEEN. I love that there is one day of the year that you can choose to be something else. You can be a witch, or a fairy or a barmaid, wench or anything else that you choose. And your excuse is its a costume. I also love the meaning behind Halloween. When the veil is thinnest and you can be close to loved ones that have left us.
I have always loved the fall for holidays. Living in Nevada, even more so. I love the fact that every two weeks I have time off work!!! You see, I don't work on my birthday. I have always taken it off. So in the middle of October, I have time off for my birthday. Then at the end of October, it is Nevada Day (the last Friday of October). Then in the middle of November, Veteran's Day...Then Thanksgiving and the family day after. Then I have to go a little longer to get to Christmas and New Years. Sometimes I take a day off in the middle between thanksgiving and Christmas, just to have a day off every 2 weeks.
Fall is the best, followed by Spring, then Summer and Winter are tied... I hate heat and extreme cold!
