Moving On... For Now



So I did a week of low carb, then I had a bagel. My hubby never got on the low carb train this time so it was hard. So now we are going to do something different, just portion control and tracking... at least for now.

I did lose some weight since the holidays, I went to the doctor last week and was pleasantly surprised that I weighted less than before the holidays... actually to the point that the nurse asked me what my secret was! 😀

So, it was a crazy week, stress at work, stress at home and crazy back issues, different day/different issue. So now I need to focus on what I am doing. I will be trying to take pictures of what I am eating, not sure that I will do the daily logs but at least try to post most days. I would like to go back to the overnight oats for breakfast and salad a couple of times a week (but not too much as salad does not get along with my digestion.

I also bought a yoga mat and bricks and would like to start doing that, I have Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix so hoping there are some good yoga videos out there, oh, YouTube on my TV is amazing!

I'm also gonna look back at some of the old posts, tweak a few, do some new ones and see where this takes me. Stick around, won't you?

Well, that didn't go well... we had no food in the house (great planning, I know). So, I did okay at work, mostly... but then...

Here I Am... AGAIN!



So here we are again... but this time, it is for life... MY LIFE to be exact.

I turned 41 a couple of months ago, you know when people say your body changes after 40... they are not kidding! I have pains in places I never knew I had. I can't breathe, of course I have gained back all the weight I lost a couple years ago... I have to do this or I feel that I am not going to make it.

So I decided to come back here, do the Weight Loss Journey and the Downsizing Me Log again... It can't hurt and maybe I can inspire some of you along the weigh... See what I did there!

Back Again, Again!!!

Its been a long time…

Like 6 months…

The Healthy Before 40 didn’t work out to well…

So, let’s try getting HEALTHY @ 40!!!!

I will be turning 40 years old tomorrow. I need to get healthier.

If you have been following me for a while, you know that I have been through a lot... kidney stones, cancer, surgeries... but now I have been having heart issues. It is a wake up call that NEEDS to be listened to.

So, I need to get healthy. Its a matter of life and death.

Stick around and help me, encourage me and kick my ass when I need it.

April 1 2017 - Let's Do This!!!

OMG...

April 1st

Time goes so fast. I remember saying in October that I was going to get healthy before I turn 40 this October. That was almost 6 months ago…

And it has not gone well. I have gained back 40 pounds since losing all the weight in 2015 (NOT all in the last 6 months!!). I only have a few things that I can wear. I am tired all the time and I don’t want to do anything.

So, we start again. I am not starting over because I will NEVER get back to where I was when I started (305 pounds in 2008). I have 6 months to get as healthy as I can before I turn 40. I know that I can not get to goal in this time frame. I know it will not be perfect, but it will be a start.

I am starting a Health Journal, I have become obsessed with planners and the planning world so what better way to keep track of my health and fitness then to combine my desire to be healthier with my passion for planners! . I need to figure out what will work for me (and hubby) food-wise, exercise-wise and just life-wise. I will be going back to my weekly blog posts about my weight and food. I will be also including some posts on my Planner Life and the possibility of opening my own Sticker Store!!!!

Life goes on and moves at what seems like warp speed. But I would love for it to slow down, even just a little.

So I will be taking a break until the new year. With holidays it is hard. I will try my damnedest (is that even a word) to eat right and get some movement during the day. Downsizing Me Log - UPDATE

The Downsizing Me Log is going Weekly!!!



I am losing my mind with this log, not really (kinda!!)

Starting 9/1/2016, I will be doing the Downsizing Me Log Weekly.  At least for a while. It will still include all the things it always has (weigh-in, Blood Sugars, exercise, etc) but it will just be once a week, instead of everyday. That way I can give an overview of pictures of the best meals from that week, instead of wanting to kick myself when I forget to take pictures!! I am also going to try to start doing a little more with the blog instead of just what it has been. When I started I had all these grand plans but not very many of them have come to fruition.

So stay tuned and we’ll see where the blog goes together. And remember, we are going to be starting the YouTube channel sometime soon!!

What I Ate Today -

  • First Meal - Brats with mixed veggies and a little mayo
  • Snack - mixed nuts
  • Second Meal - Salad with avocado and Blue Cheese dressing
  • Snack - Pistachios
  • Third Meal - Pork and mixed veggies with some sour cream along with Nut Butter Loaf and butter
  • Dessert - One square of dark chocolate and peanut butter (forgot to take a picture, tried to justify eating it again...)
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - Headache all day, wondering if it is after the burrito this weekend, or it could be that it is almost that time...

What I Ate Today -


  • First Meal - Meatloaf, mixed veggies, Nut Butter Loaf with butter and some beef bone broth
  • Snack - mixed nuts
  • Snack - pistachios
  • Second Meal - Salmon, mixed veggies with a laughing cow cheese wedge and some avocado
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - Carb meal yesterday, I was craving a burrito so we had it for lunch. I have been eating Keto for several weeks but not lost any weight (I lose then gain then lose then gain, etc). I am wondering if it is because I have been eating alot of things with sugar alcohols. So I have decided to try again, this time without all that sweet stuff... I still use Stevia in my coffee but no more Maltitol and that crap...

I know I have been lax lately, it has been really hard since losing my puppy, but I have been eating Keto, just not documenting...Gonna start doing that more.

We are planning to start a YouTube channel (well the channel exists, but there is nothing on it)... Will let you know...

  • Mixed Nuts and some Moon Cheese
  • 2 low fat cheesesticks
  • steak and veggies
  • Pumpkin seeds and a bite or two of hubby's tortilla with cream cheese
  • Pork with veggies and cheese
  • one square of 90% chocolate and a smear of peanut butter
Eating On Track Today - yes

Comments - three day weekend, here I come!

  • Bacon and Cheddar stuffed burger with veggies and a pickle with a little mayo
  • Moon Cheese
  • Low Carb Tortilla with Cream Cheese dip
  • Chicken with veggies and avocado
Eating On Track Today - yes

Comments - Really craving wings, so we will probably go and get them this weekend...

  • Premier Chocolate Protein Drink
  • 2 brat sausages and mixed veggies, Russel Stover Coconut Chocolate
  • Pork and mixed veggies with a little butter
  • Pork Rinds and a pickle
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - I don't think that 2 meals a day will work for me, I was hungry this morning, so I will be eating when I am hungry and try to just keep track of the hours so that I can try to do the intermittent fasting thing... also, I knew yesterday's weight couldn't be right!!!

Weigh In - 232.2 (but I don't actually believe that when yesterday, I was 230.5)

Blood Sugar Readings - oops

What I Ate Today -

  • First meal (10:00am) - Black Angus Bacon and Cheddar Burger with a thin slice of cheddar cheese and mixed veggies (a few pieces of Moon Cheese)
  • Snack (at work) - 2 cheesesticks and mixed nuts
  • Snack (at home) - pumpkin seeds and decaf coffee with heavy cream and Sweetleaf drops
  • Second meal (5:45pm)- Chicken breast with veggies (mixed with Ranch Dressing) and avocado and a Sugar Free Chocolate Truffle
Eating On Track Today - Yes

Comments - First day of 2 meals and I was starving by 10am, I had hoped to make it until at least 11am, but I was hungry at 8:30!! oh, well, i will keep trying, not sure if two main meals will work for me. Have to keep at it though... Oh, went to a meeting at work today and my boss was giving out candy bars!!! I took it back to her after the meeting and told her I couldn't have it...It wasn't my favorite anyway!!
