Lavender Bath Salts/Soak

So, I have not yet used the foot scrub that I made the other day, I wanted to make some bath salt/soak first. So I did that last night. You can actually smell the lavender in this one... I love soaking my feet after a long day. I figured I would use lavender essential oil.

So that it will help with the sleeping thing!

imageThis recipe was easy, again, I scoured Pinterest for some ideas and then came up with this. It is 1 cup epsom salts to 1 tbsp baking soda.

I did this 3 times in a mixing bowl (so 3 cups salts to 3 tbsp baking soda). Then I mixed it up really good and then added the lavender essential oils. (I used about 9 drops, it is a little strong).imageThen I transferred it into a large mason jar. It needs to sit for a few days for the lavender essential oil and scent to permeate the whole jar.

imageFinished project, it was easy and only took a few minutes.

The next project is going to be a little more complicated. I am going to (attempt) to make my own body butter. This one is going to be cypress and grapefruit as those oils help with skin tightening and other good things that I will get into in that post.

So, the ingredients:
